The sensor integrates a high-stability silicon photodiode with a precisely matched visual function filter, making its spectral response highly consistent with the human eye's photopic response. When light strikes the diode, it generates a microcurrent which is converted, amplified, and digitized. The microprocessor applies linearization correction and temperature compensation, outputting illuminance in Lux. A cosine corrector minimizes angular error from oblique incident light.
